Background / History
Wang Wen first became renowned in the Iron Blood Territory despite being an ordinary, newly promoted Extreme Realm cultivator. Through years of battlefield analysis, he identified patterns in Starry Sky Giant Beast invasions, allowing the nine fortresses to prepare for attacks, reduce losses, inflict major casualties, and once force a six-month truce from the Giant Beast Starfield. His achievements placed him near the Ten Deciders on the Sky Swallowing Ranking. 568
He managed the Iron Blood Territory's affairs, forged alliances among its fortresses, and coordinated them into a stronger unified force. His authority was substantial enough that a Hunting Realm expert obeyed his orders with genuine respect, while Liu Qiuyu regarded his survival as indispensable. 568 573
After aligning with Lu Yin, Wang Wen became the Great Yu Empire's Grand Strategist. He uncovered high-ranking moles from administrative data, reorganized troop deployments and regulations, and established new legions. He regarded the Iron Blood Territory as a place to cultivate his mind rather than his combat power. 908
Wang Wen later served as one of Lu Yin's closest political advisers within the Eastern Frontier Alliance. He managed broad strategic planning, while Wei Rong handled detailed schemes, Qiong Xi'er economic matters, and Shui Chuanxiao military deployment. 1555 1691
His hidden identity as the Unknown's Balance Envoy was exposed during the conflict involving the Threefold Universe. As the Balance Envoy, he had weakened the Threefold Universe's upper limit, watched successive generations of human elites grow, and sought to repeatedly give Human Civilization hope before plunging it into despair. 4466 4467
Identity
Wang Wen openly stated that he was not human and viewed humanity from a fundamentally different perspective. 4505
His connection to Wang Xia is disputed and deliberately obscured:
- Shi Chu identified Wang Wen as Wang Xia, a being from before Reverse Ancient who had manipulated events across multiple eras. 5579
- Wang Wen treated the distinction dismissively, asking whether Wang Xia was not also Wang Wen. 5579
- He later asserted that Wang Xia was dead and that he would “forever be Wang Wen.” 5388
- The Karma Master described Wang Wen as essentially Wang Xia, born from Wang Xia's blood and carrying Wang Xia's power. 5237
Abilities & Skills
Strategic Analysis and Long-Term Planning
Wang Wen's foremost ability is an intellect capable of coordinating warfare, political maneuvering, intelligence networks, and plans spanning eras.
- Analyzed Giant Beast Starfield invasion patterns and used them to coordinate the Iron Blood Territory's defenses. 568
- Found three dangerous high-level moles in the Great Yu Empire immediately after reviewing its data; he believed more could remain useful as controlled assets. 908
- Reorganized the Great Yu Empire's military structure and revised its regulations despite having never previously served there. 908
- Directed the Eastern Frontier Alliance's political positioning, including its withdrawal from the Fire Domain and consolidation in the defensible Hui Liu Realm. 1555
- Used “three cards” containing influential figures to intensify the Yan Lan Flow Realm war and create hostility among major factions. 1638
- Orchestrated schemes involving Xiang Siyu, Wang Chenchen's bloodline, and the Life Master's attempt to trace Wang Xia's descendants. 5241
Illusion and Fantasy
Wang Wen can wield a power of fantasy capable of affecting the entire Seventy-two Realms.
- His emergence from seclusion caused the Outer Heaven, Inner Heaven, and Mother Tree to tremble. 5097
- He mobilized the universe itself in an attack on the Death Lord; the Death Lord identified the phenomenon as “the power of fantasy.” 5097
- The power could theoretically destroy the Seventy-two Realms and even threaten Masters, but only while sustained through fantasy. 5097
- Wang Xia's breakthrough plan involved existing through the illusions of all living beings, making him nearly impossible to locate. 5580
Martial Power
Although initially known as a weak Extreme Realm cultivator, Wang Wen's true combat power was concealed for most of his life.
- His movement was imperceptible even to Lu Yin; Wang Wen's raised finger appeared before Lu Yin's eyes without any detectable motion. 4561
- He fought Gao Tian, and his presence was sufficient to deter the Immortal Feather Original Tree from returning. 4554
- He could briefly disrupt the Time Master's movements with a finger strike, though the technique did not inflict meaningful harm and Wang Wen indicated it could only be used once. 5320
- The power inherited from Wang Xia is considered capable of severely injuring a Master, making the Masters wary of confronting him directly. 5237
Heaven-Connecting Art
Wang Wen possesses the Heaven-Connecting Art, a technique associated with Divine power absorption and transformation.
- It can allow Divine power absorption to undergo a metamorphosis beyond that of comparable experts. 4561
- It changes the form in which Divine power manifests, with the final result depending on the cultivator's own choice. 4561
- Wang Wen taught the technique to Lu Yin. 4561
Three Spirits Method
The Three Spirits Method allows Wang Wen to divide himself into separate spirits.
- Wang Qi and Wu Qi are identified as Wang Wen's split spirits. 5521
- Three bodies combining Illusion, Divine power, and Dead Silence can approach the Master level infinitely closely under the conditions of the previous era. 5521
- Wang Wen once bestowed Illusion upon Thousand Machine Strange Performance, allowing it to develop thought, ambition, and the capacity to create battle skills. 5521
Seizure of Master-Level Power
Wang Wen developed the ability and ambition to take Master-level power for himself.
- Upon leaving seclusion, he invited the beings of the Seventy-two Realms to seek freedom and targeted the Death Lord's power. 5097
- He successfully took away the Death Lord's power, turning his attention toward other Master-level powers. 5097
- His Mitian Grand Plan sought to break through to the Master level and expand the era; he believed Lu Yin's merger of Divine power and Dead Silence could confirm the path. 5334
Relationships
- Lu Yin — Longtime ally, adviser, and friend whom Wang Wen called “Chess Piece.” Wang Wen's guidance strongly influenced Lu Yin's political vision and the unification of the Heavenly Origin Universe, but their relationship became hostile after Wang Wen's role as the Unknown's Balance Envoy was exposed. 1555 4467 4505
- Wang Chenchen — Descendant of the Wang Family who calls him Ancestor. Wang Wen and Xiang Siyu used her bloodline as part of their countermeasure against the Life Master. 5241 5382
- Xiang Siyu — Luck Master and long-term co-conspirator. Their arrangement hid Luck Dao power within Wang Chenchen's bloodline, turning the Life Master's bloodline tracing against it. 5241
- Thousand Machine Strange Performance — Collaborator and former recipient of Wang Wen's Illusion. Their relationship is also adversarial, as Wang Wen later sought to reclaim or consume that Illusion. 5334 5521
- Wei Rong — Fellow strategist and friend. Alongside Qiong Xi'er, they were considered the three smartest people in the Outer Universe. 4495
- Shi Wang — The Time Master's father and a participant in Wang Wen's schemes against the Time Master; their cooperation is marked by regret, manipulation, and shared ambition. 5318
- Death God — A subordinate who credits Wang Wen, rather than Lu Yin, with giving him a new life. 5389
- Death Lord — Yielded to Wang Wen's taking of his power after acknowledging the threat posed by Wang Wen's fantasy. 5097
