The two had just arrived at the Arena District,

when a staff member came over and asked, "Good morning, you two. Are you here to fight in the arena?"

They both nodded and said in unison, "That's right. We're just going to have a friendly spar."

But Fang Shi considered that Lu Yuan didn't seem to have a Companion Beast of his own yet, so he left the cub below the arena.

At opposite ends of the arena, two young men stood facing each other.

One young man held a long spear, his eyes bright and focused.

The other held a broadsword, confidence written all over his face.

Fang Shi said, "Let's keep this friendly and stop as soon as one of us gets the upper hand!"

The referee announced the start, then blew the whistle hanging around his neck!

After the two weapons clashed, the fighters quickly separated!

Though they called it a friendly spar, both of them were giving it their all!

After a fierce exchange that went on for some time, fine beads of sweat had appeared on both their foreheads.

"This won't work. His supernatural ability lasts longer than mine!"

He immediately decided to leave an opening, tempting Fang Shi into an aggressive swing.

Seeing this, Lu Yuan's lips curled into a satisfied smile.

The referee announced.

A closer look revealed a trace of longing on his face, as if the match hadn't quite satisfied him.

"Just what you'd expect from a specially recruited freshman at Shencheng Supernatural University. What a spectacular fight!"

The referee silently marveled to himself.

Even he, a Tier 2 supernatural ability user, couldn't fight with such flair!

The fight was over!

Fang Shi cupped his fists toward Lu Yuan and said earnestly, "Brother Lu Yuan, I've learned a lot from you!"

Lu Yuan copied Fang Shi's tone and cupped his fists in return. "Brother Fang Shi, you were too kind!"
