After purchasing the Dwarves, Lynn felt there was nothing else to buy. He bought a batch of grain and headed back to his territory.
As for the children from other villages Dania had mentioned, Lynn bought them too. Those children were from nearby villages. They had no food, while Lynn needed people, so the transaction was completed quickly.
One side was starving desperately, while the other needed manpower.
That was how he ended up with several hundred slaves. Putting Slave Collars on each of them was exhausting.
Inside the carriage.
"Lilim, why do you look unhappy again?" Lynn lounged lazily. Lilim's tail was clearly very unhappy, swishing forcefully.
"Why are Demi-humans living such miserable lives now?" Lilim complained. "At that slave market, so many people had been captured and brought there."
Lynn was dumbfounded by Lilim's train of thought. "Where else did you think slaves came from?"
"People atoning for their mistakes."
"How are you any different from that foolish Princess of the Demi-human Kingdom who asked why people without food didn't just eat cake?" Since Lilim had kept bringing up the Demi-human Kingdom lately, Lynn had learned a little about the history of that nation that had perished a century ago.
Lilim was left speechless by Lynn's retort. She said nothing, but her tail swished even harder, slapping the carriage with loud smacks.
"Fine, I'll abolish slavery in the future, but not now. The more slaves I have now, the sooner slavery can be abolished in the future. Understand?" Lynn tried to make Lilim understand. "Lilim, you care about Demi-humans, but haven't you noticed that the slave market has people from every race?"
Lilim's tail suddenly stopped moving. "Seems like it does."
"I really have no idea where you learned your political knowledge. At noble banquets, you directed me. When making friends with Nobles, you directed me too. So why do you become an idiot when it comes to administration?" Lynn showed Lilim no mercy.
Hajili's fur immediately stood on end.
"Fine, you're not actually stupid. You just lack common sense. It's okay, I'll make sure you gain some common sense." Lynn revealed a Capitalist's smile, and Lilim's raised fur instantly flattened.
The Little Loli immediately said fearfully, "You... are you trying to make me a slave too?"
"Can I?"
"No!"
"You don't get a choice."
"You bastard, are you trying to bully me and use me as a tool to vent your frustrations?" Lilim said viciously. "The God of Love told me that you're an utterly wicked blond bastard who loves looking for Beautiful Girls! No matter what kind of Beautiful Girl they are, you want to turn them into stupid slaves! Are you finally revealing your true nature?"
Lynn pulled a book from his chest and slammed it heavily onto Lilim's head. "Here. I spent a long time coming up with these words. They're mainly common vocabulary and phrases used in work assignments. Since I lack a teacher, you'll be the one teaching them."
Covering her head, Lilim said aggrievedly, "Lynn, you've changed." She took the book. "You've become even more demonic than that pervert. I get up earlier than chickens and sleep later than dogs. I work for you from morning until night, and now you want to exploit a cat too?"
"You fake system, tell me, what use are you to me?"
"I'm your Beautiful Loli System."
"We've already fallen apart, haven't we?"
"Is there really no affection left between us?"
"What I sought is no longer something I hope to obtain. What stands before you now is Lynn, the West Calamity."
"You bastard, how could the life you sought, where people still loved you even though you were useless, possibly exist?"
"Exactly. It can't exist. Since effort is required to earn rewards anyway, why shouldn't I play bigger?" Like an emperor, Lynn completely overwhelmed Lilim with his presence. "You don't understand my actions right now, but you don't need to. You only need to obey."
Lynn took out a piece of cake. "As long as you behave and listen, your treatment won't change. I'm not someone who destroys the world just because no one loves him. I'm rational. I know that a Two-dimensional dream has ended, and I've woken up."
"I don't need to be childish anymore. I will bring civilization to all of you."
Lynn spoke in a low voice. His tone was irresistible, pleasant, and magnetic.
Lilim was completely overwhelmed by that presence and obediently accepted the cake.
Lynn's current tone and expression were excellent, just like those emperors, Kings, and heroes.
The old Lynn had been nothing but a loser, shouting about some Two-dimensional world and a happy, wonderful Two-dimensional life. Every day, he did bizarre things and possessed no charm whatsoever.
It would be strange if anyone liked him.
But the current Lynn...
Ever since that day, when he decided to become some damn shooter, he had worked from morning until night every day. He even had Dark circles under his eyes now, yet the territory was developing rapidly.
Lilim suddenly remembered that whenever she praised those emperors and popes in front of Lynn, he had always been dismissive. Likewise, whenever she described how amazing the Heroines were to him—future empresses, future beloved Saintesses, and the like—Lynn had never paid any attention.
