"Um, Little Louis, Little Yuffie, are you in there?" Freya's voice suddenly came from outside the door.
Louis didn't panic. Instead, he helped his sister up and sat her down in a chair.
His eyes turned blue again.
"What are you trying to do?" Yuffie steadied herself, fighting through the intense pain coursing through her body. "A vampire?"
"What have you managed to research this time?"
Louis brushed himself off and thought for a moment. "Come to think of it, I'm surprised this worked, too."
"I thought it was just a legend."
"Luckily, I had plenty of information, and the experiences of those who came before me to learn from."
"Don't worry. It's not poison. It's evolution."
"Evolution from a weak human into a superior race."
"What I took was the safer version."
"Yours is the more aggressive type."
Louis took out a small vial and opened it. The scent wasn't very strong, but the smell of blood immediately drew Yuffie's attention.
She swallowed, but didn't move.
Her head was spinning, and her whole body was burning up.
Drool dripped uncontrollably from her mouth.

The door opened.
Louis instantly changed his expression and sprang to his feet, looking utterly panicked. "Yuffie, did you research vampires and use it on yourself?"
As planned, Louis had brought Freya in as a third-party witness.
That would let him take Yuffie out in one fell swoop.
And since she'd taken that substance, she'd end up like their aunt, placed under house arrest.
With her no longer a threat, he wouldn't have to bear the guilt of murdering his sister.
It was the perfect solution.
But Freya didn't look indignant at the sight of a monster.
Something in her snapped, too!
Louis wondered why Freya still hadn't said anything.
