Those with Special Attack abilities had a fairly easy time fighting.
Those without them, on the other hand,
could only rely on their numerical advantage to overwhelm the enemy by force.
There was no other way. Against such absurd mechanics, they could only pile on the numbers.
This was Grand Duke Lynn's latest idea.
They would use their range advantage to kite the enemy, while unleashing powerful magic to destroy their bodies.
The Military Department had already listed this tactic as part of the T34 series' development program.
From 13-millimeter heavy rifles to 20-millimeter machine guns and 82-millimeter mortars, along with their mobile variants—the 20-millimeter machine-gun cart and the 82-millimeter mortar cart—
they were all included in the plan.
Artillery consumed too many resources.
The technical challenge with mortars lay in the shells, not the gun barrels.
As high-explosive artillery gradually matured, mortars—once considered high-tech weapons—would finally become practical.
But once mortars were usable, they were incredibly cheap.
Naturally, they belonged in the T34 program.
As for close-combat weapons,
the problem was energy.
The Coal Tank was too useless and had been tossed aside in disgrace.
Without a compact energy source, everything had to be made larger.
Decisive-battle weapons were for the poor. They had proved next to useless throughout Blue Star's history.
But Lynn believed they were useless precisely because they were too big and too cumbersome.
Besides, if grand projects could ruin a country, did that mean civilization players wouldn't build them?
The Chenlie cannon was expensive, but did that stop the four-hearted people from building one?
So Lynn's decisive-battle weapons would still be built.
At first, he had wanted to mount an 800-millimeter gun on an Aerospace Battleship.
In theory, it was entirely possible. But the gun's firing rate would be slow, and it would put the
