"That way, they'll have no way to retreat."
"What do you think, Queen Luna?"
The Merfolk Queen merely kept drinking, as if she could hold her liquor endlessly. "I'll leave everything to Lord Leon."
She had no objections to any proposal.
Leon lifted Chrisel's chin and considered how the battle might unfold. "Good, good. That's an excellent proposal."
"By the way, the succubi, vampires, and some of the Skywing people can handle the fighting in the air."
"The Merfolk will circle around through the water, while the Pigman Race will lead the main attack on the flank."
With this arrangement, Olesian's first major defeat would be all but assured.
That afternoon, Lucia put her combat instincts to work and came up with a new plan in response to Lynn's proposal and demands.
She adjusted the deployment.
Lucia believed that since the enemy consisted of top-tier fighters, they would undoubtedly be capable of capturing all sorts of fortifications.
So they should fight from fortified positions.
They would set up special nets, dig tunnels, build hidden bunkers, and position cannons.
They would also plant explosives.
Once the enemy captured the positions, they could simply detonate the tunnels, which wouldn't affect the later counterattack on the high ground.
To make the ruse convincing, a full ten thousand regular troops were deployed up there. To make their
