More than ten Black Knights nodded and immediately ran forward, stepping onto the wooden stakes to cross the river.

The Black Knights charged ahead at incredible speed, like they were flying, while firing controlled bursts in midair.

Rat-tat-tat, rat-tat-tat, rat-tat-tat, rat-tat, rat-tat-tat-tat-tat-tat.

The bullets flew toward the defenders atop the city wall, killing any ordinary soldiers who exposed themselves.

The enemy's bullets, however, only stirred slight ripples in the Magic shields surrounding them.

The shields could withstand thirty hits at most; any more would shatter them.

That was equivalent to casting more than thirty Fifth Order spells.

A Magic shield wasn't steel or a bunker. It was energy, essentially a health bar.

And the elite fighters on the other side were exceptional people in their own right. One Black Knight had unleashed a full magazine at the enemy, yet the shield of the man throwing the Explosive pack still hadn't broken.

"Looks like it's a level-six shield or higher. I'm going in first, everyone." Rather than reload, the Black Knight sprinted forward. The jet-powered Magic tool at his waist kicked in, and a powerful gust of air made him feel weightless.

"Lasi Mosi, you're rushing in too fast!" Several Black Knights behind him tried to call back the one named Lasi Mosi.

But Lasi Mosi had already planted both feet on the slightly sloped city wall and was running diagonally up the thirty-meter-high surface.

"Everyone in the squad, I'm going up too." Another Black Knight removed his helmet, revealing his true face.

He belonged to a special Demi-human race, much like the nine-tailed fox. His people were hippogriffs, an extremely rare race.

"Captain Helge, you made a name for yourself last time. Are you charging in recklessly now, too?" The other squad members still wanted to stick to conventional tactics:
