"The two of us will charge at the very front." Rusca pointed at the temporarily assembled special-force unit. "And we'll use shield magic at the front as well."
Dressed in armor, George looked over the demi-humans Rusca had gathered together.
The Tiger demi-humans and Bear Demi-humans stood two meters tall. Even without weapons, they were monstrously strong.
Then there were demi-humans like lynxes—heavyweights as well. They were often mistaken for Cat demi-humans, but they were actually far stronger.
These elite fighters had been gathered together, clad in captured knightly plate armor, muskets in hand and swords hanging at their waists.
There were also some elite human soldiers.
They were all arranged in the first rank. They were strong enough that even armor did not hamper their movement, and it was not as though they had marched long distances wearing it.
Armies did not actually wear armor while marching. They only put it on before battle, which was why ambushes worked—because an ambush did not strike an armored army, but a force no different from a peasant Rebel Army.
And marching columns were generally stretched out into long lines.
Only short-distance marches might be made in armor.
According to the plan, the attack had only just begun.
