Besides, the previous generation's temporary Silver Dragon Queen, the Black Dragon King's consort, hadn't exactly risen to power honorably.
So Ailina's brother, Duhuolasi, had been sabotaged before he could become king.
They refused to accept the claim that contact with those divine corpses near the Abyss was harmful.
Later, the Black Dragons stabbed Ailina's mother, her other loyalists, and Ailina's lover in the back.
That was what they called the wheel of fortune turning.
This was a fundamental conflict.
If she really wanted to win everyone's support, it was actually simple enough.
She just had to thoroughly defeat the current leader of the Black Dragons and grind the rest of them into the ground!
But unfortunately...
By now, the Dragon Race had learned to form factions.
And so, the stalemate had dragged on until now.
Although the Metal Dragons had always kept the Black Dragons in check,
those guys were secretly stirring up trouble, too.
They were building up their strength.
Now the Demons were infiltrating the Dragonmen and Dragonkin, and had even sent those damned Lizard Dragons and Lizardmen.
They were putting the Lizardmen in contact with those old flames, the Black Dragons.
The true dragons, of course, knew what those bugs were up to.
But compared to those bugs, the greater danger facing the true dragons right now was this fundamental conflict.
The Black Dragons refused to submit to the current Silver Dragon King and the Metal Dragons.
That was one of the Dragon Race's bad habits, especially among the Five-colored Dragons.
This kind of conflict, this kind of strife...
