This was practically a question that tortured the soul.
Most people would choose to lie to a woman for the time being. It wasn't as if they were certain they'd ever face that situation.
But Li Ang thought Harley Quinn's mind worked differently.
Besides, from the way she looked, she'd clearly been shaken and had decided she didn't want to be a good person anymore.
So Li Ang said, "No."
"Why not?"
Harley Quinn asked in surprise, "You wouldn't want to save me? Sob, sob."
She immediately began to cry.
But in Li Ang's eyes, even acting required a little conviction.
So he said, "Of course I'd save you. But we'd have to be together. I'd do everything I could to save you."
"Exactly!"
Harley Quinn broke into a smile. "Even if you have to save me, you can't throw your life away. Mr. Freeze is so stupid!"
She was genuinely afraid Li Ang might want to die for her.
In her eyes, Mr. Freeze had died and escaped all his troubles, but Nora, who had been brought back to life, was left heartbroken.
When Nora saw Mr. Freeze's body, she'd cried as if her heart were breaking.
Harley had felt her pain herself.
That was why she'd claimed to be a bad person. She didn't want Li Ang to become that kind of "good person," too.
Giving up your life to be good was just too stupid.
"Darling, let's get some rest."
Harley Quinn immediately pulled Li Ang into the room.
Riding in the Batmobile felt awful.
Poison Ivy thought to herself.
Especially with that damn Batman refusing to let her ride in the passenger seat, instead dumping her in the back.
Who knew why the Batmobile even had a spot back there? Was it designed for kidnapping people?
