Fiora's Bedroom Diary
June 11, 290 D.E., sunny
Leivo teased Noviya again while she was changing today. Honestly, when will that brat ever grow up? Tomorrow, he has to meet King Jarvan with Father. I hope he doesn't cause any trouble! If Father would just hand me control of the family, I could whip him into shape within a week!
June 12, sunny
My swordsmanship still hasn't improved. It must have been nearly a month now. I can't go on like this. When will I surpass Father? When will I become Demacia's greatest swordswoman?
Leivo was acting strangely today. He didn't tease Noviya at all—in fact, he was rather bashful. What surprised me even more was that Sage Tabor prophesied he would be the one to save Demacia!
I thought he'd go back to his old ways as soon as he got home, but instead, he clung to me and begged me to teach him swordsmanship. What a surprising day. Still, it's heartening to see him like this. Is this what they mean by a child growing up overnight?
To be honest, I don't want Leivo to become a savior, because that could very well mean sacrificing himself. But even if I teach him a few moves, he still won't stand a chance against our other brothers. I hope he won't lose too badly, like Father said. Haha.
June 13, sunny
It's unusual to have so many sunny days in a row this time of year. But I'm not in a very good mood, because Leivo has officially been chosen as the savior.
Fate really does play cruel tricks. Yesterday, I only thought about how his swordsmanship couldn't beat our brothers. I never considered our ruthless uncles. They'd give up their honor rather than let their own children go to war. How despicable!
May the Gods protect Leivo. His coming-of-age ceremony is three months away, so I need to train him properly. I hope he keeps up this eagerness to learn. No, even if he doesn't, I'll make him study!
June 21, sunny
Leivo's transformation makes me so happy. Ever since he went to the palace that day, it's like he's become a different person. He doesn't bother anyone or cause trouble anymore, and he works hard at his swordsmanship. Is this him adjusting in advance to the army's routine? I don't care whether he's the savior or whether he can save Demacia. At least he's saved me. Keep it up, little brother.
June 29, cloudy
The sun barely came out all day, though it didn't look like rain, either.
My stomach's acting up again today. I wanted to tough it out and keep training, but Leivo insisted I get some rest. In all the years I've known him, I've never seen him care about anyone else. What's gotten into him? Still, he really did seem sincerely concerned—and was there a hint of affection, too? I must be imagining things.
July 15, sunny
Leivo is studying harder and harder, and I'm getting more and more suspicious. It's not just his attitude that's changed. Some of his mannerisms, the way he speaks—none of it seems like something he could pull off. But from what I've seen in daily life, and from what Nora and Noviya have told me, there's nothing else suspicious about him. What's going on?
Could some kind of magic have been cast on him? It must be. Why else would he suddenly try to get close to me? I almost let his enthusiasm win me over. I'll test him with Nullstone tomorrow!
Come to think of it, my recent diary entries have all been about Leivo.
July 16, sunny
The Nullstone didn't react at all. Maybe being chosen by the prophecy changed him? Never mind. He's much easier to deal with like this, and he works hard. Just the way I like you, little rascal.
July 25, rainy
There was thunder last night, and it started raining not long afterward. The rain didn't stop until after lunch. It cooled things down a little, but my heart's started to stir. I haven't felt this way in a long time!
I'm more and more convinced that this person isn't Leivo! And I can clearly feel that he likes me!
He hasn't done anything inappropriate, but the way he shows his affection, intentionally or not, says it all! And the more I pretend not to notice, the more obvious he gets. Just like a little kid.
August 16, sunny
Leivo's swordsmanship has improved quickly. He mastered Laurent's Mind Blade in just over two months, so he should be able to protect himself. I'm afraid he won't have time to learn any other moves. He should use the remaining time to practice what he's already learned.
I still don't know how to respond to the passionate look in his eyes. All I can do is meet it with coldness. Maybe it's a good thing he'll be joining the Dauntless Vanguard. Once we're apart, I'll have plenty of time to think this through.
September 13, sunny
So your name is Zhao Xin. You're a stranger from another world. You don't even have a body of your own; you're like a soul. How can you say you love me? I won't let Leivo disappear! But... I don't want you to disappear, either. I'm so confused.
When you come back from the army, I'll give you an answer!
September 14, light rain
I didn't see Leivo off, so I wouldn't have anything more to miss. The more you care about someone, the weaker you become. I don't want him going into training with that kind of attachment.
You said you were going to surpass me, didn't you?
October 5, sunny
I received all your letters, and I felt everything you wanted to say. My answer is still the same: the more you care about someone, the weaker you become. I won't write back. I've been training hard lately, so it won't be easy to beat me!
Oh, there was a little incident today. General Dali brought his eldest son, Jon, to ask Father for my hand. Of course I refused, and I told him what I stood for. The result was obvious: he lost to me.
May 10, 291 D.E., overcast
Seven months have already passed. Several times, I wanted to write back to Leivo, but I held myself back. I didn't know what to say. I'd decided to give him an answer when he came back, but now war could break out at any moment, and I still haven't made up my mind.
What if he suddenly comes back? What should I do? I pray the Gods will give me a sign.
June 17, sunny
No, it can't be true!
June 21, sunny
I haven't slept in four days, but I don't feel tired at all.
Garen came back today, victorious.
Demacia has won, and the whole country is celebrating. So why does the sky look gray to me?
Miss Luxanna came by. Why was she crying so hard? Oh, right—she said she loves Leivo.
What else did she say? Leivo is dead? Oh, right. She said Leivo became the Judicator. What is the Judicator? Leivo, where are you? You're still alive, aren't you?
I've made up my mind! I'll be with you! I'll give you all my love and my body! Are you satisfied now? Hurry back!
July 10, sunny
Noviya left and returned to her hometown. She couldn't stand staying in the Laurent Family without Leivo anymore. It was too painful for her here. I hope she can find a way through her grief. You're a good girl!
Father was hit hard. We can't all give in to despair! I have to pull myself together!
August 16, rainy
Leivo's sacrifice left Father despondent for a long time. And now, Uncle has proposed putting the country's interests first and choosing a new head of the family. What a treacherous ambition!
Don't forget, I'm part of the Laurent Family, too! Your swordsmanship may have surpassed Father's, but that doesn't mean you can beat me!
August 17, rainy
After so many days of rain, the iron weapons have rusted, but my sword has successfully defended my honor!
I won the position of family head at the cost of never marrying. King Jarvan bestowed on me the title "the Duelist." From today on, I'll devote myself wholeheartedly to the honor of the Laurent Family!
March 1, 295 D.E., sunny
Luxanna got married today. She secretly told me that she still loves Leivo. At first, I wanted to comfort her, but in the end, she was the one comforting me.
Four years have passed since that war, just like that. I thought I'd moved on, but the pain still feels so real.
June 17, 301 D.E., sunny
I've imagined countless times what it would be like if you suddenly came back. Maybe you'd be covered in scars, maybe you'd be strong and healthy, maybe you'd hold me and cry. Maybe...
I never imagined we'd meet again after ten years, like this.
When I heard you say, "I'm back," I was overwhelmed with confusion. But then all my longing turned to hatred.
Because you had an unfamiliar face. Because you'd let me down time and time again. Because I'd sworn never to marry. Because you'd grown so strong that you no longer needed my protection. Because everything... was too late.
But the moment I wounded you, my hatred vanished. None of this was your fault. You were a victim, too. The only one to blame was the fact that we had been strangers all along, that we never should have fallen for each other.
There were so many things I once wanted to say, but now they no longer mattered. This was the day my heart had been stirred more than any other since I was born—and the day everything finally came to rest.
The Gods must have had a great reason for bringing you into this world. And I must not be where you belong. It's up to you to discover the meaning of your existence.
You're always welcome to come back and challenge me!
Before you continue
