During one of their travels, the three of them accidentally ran into the Demon Hunters, a special unit of the Demacian kingdom tasked with capturing mages.
To protect his daughters, Noviya's father didn't resist. But the results of the Demon Hunters' examination left him in despair: the girls had magic inside them, too.
Their father begged desperately, but the Demon Hunters were on official duty and didn't dare let them go. So they took all three of them to Silver City to await trial.
Just as the Demon Hunters' party was about to reach Silver City, Noviya and her father encountered another father and his two children: Fili, Fiora, and Leivo.
At the time, Noviya and Leivo were both just old enough to understand things. It was easy for children to become drawn to one another.
Leivo couldn't understand why he, his sister, and his father were riding in a luxurious carriage while the three people were locked in a prison wagon—and why the two little girls were crying so bitterly.
So Leivo made a huge fuss, demanding that the three be released. The Demon Hunters knew the carriage belonged to the Laurent Family and were caught in a dilemma.
As a minister of the kingdom, Fili naturally wouldn't let his
