He had hidden himself extremely well in the World of the Living. The Gigai he used had been specially treated and contained almost no Reishi, rendering ordinary detection methods completely ineffective.

Kisuke Urahara suppressed the raging storm in his heart and forced a slightly stiff but reasonably composed smile onto his face.
"What a rare guest, Captain Aizen. It's been over a hundred years, yet you look as impressive as ever—if anything, even more unfathomable."
As he spoke, his gaze rapidly swept over the restrained Tessai Tsukabishi and the unfamiliar black-haired young man beside Aizen.
Who was this young man?
Forget it. That wasn't important. The key now was figuring out how to escape.
Given Aizen's true strength, running away this time would probably be difficult.
