Chapter Summaries

Uchiha Yoru’s group waited in Swordsmith Village and ambushed Muzan, but Nakime transported them to the Infinity Castle after Muzan recovered from decapitation. There, Inabi fought Kokushibo and awakened his Mangekyo Sharingan and Susanoo when he was driven to the brink.

• Yoru convinced Tanjiro and Nezuko to stay overnight while Sanemi evacuated the villagers from Swordsmith Village.
• Muzan arrived to claim Nezuko, but Itachi trapped him briefly with Tsukuyomi and Inabi beheaded him with En'yōmaru.
• Muzan regenerated, called for Nakime, and had her transport Yoru, Itachi, Inabi, Tanjiro, and Nezuko to the Infinity Castle.
• Yoru directed Inabi to face Kokushibo alone, and Kokushibo overwhelmed him with Moon Breathing techniques.
• Kokushibo’s attacks and taunts drove Inabi into a rage, awakening his Mangekyo Sharingan and manifesting his Susanoo to repel the crescent blades.

Inabi used Susanoo to defeat Kokushibo, whose desperate transformation and renewed strength could not save him from Inabi’s flames. Elsewhere in the Infinity Castle, Doma was about to attack Tanjiro and Nezuko when Yoru and Itachi appeared, leaving him bewildered by the number of enemies confronting him.

• Inabi’s Susanoo overwhelmed Kokushibo’s swordsmanship, crushed his body, and destroyed Kyokushin-kiri.
• Kokushibo survived decapitation by transforming into a monstrous form, but Inabi burned him to ash with Susanoo: Majestic Destroyer Flame.
• Doma waited in the Infinity Castle and welcomed Tanjiro and Nezuko, delighted that Nezuko had conquered sunlight.
• Tanjiro defended Nezuko and confronted Doma as the demon gathered frost to attack them.
• Yoru and Itachi entered just as Doma prepared to strike, and Doma wondered why he had so many enemies.

Uchiha Itachi defeated Doma while Uchiha Inabi awakened the Mangekyo, and Uchiha Yoru led the group to Muzan. Yoriichi Tsugikuni struck down Muzan, and Itachi destroyed his escaping fragments, leaving Infinity Castle collapsing as Nakime moved everyone to the surface.

• Doma unleashed his strongest Blood Demon Art, but Itachi melted the ice with his Sunflame Wings and beheaded him with Tanjiro Kamado's Nichirin Sword.
• Uchiha Inabi reunited with Yoru and Itachi, announced that he had awakened the Mangekyo and Susanoo, and received healing from Itachi.
• Yoru led the group to Muzan, who had mistaken Itachi's illusion in Nakime's vision for the group's defeat.

As the Demon Slayer Corps rushed to the Swordsmith Village, Tamayo sensed Muzan's death and faded away. Tanjiro confirmed that Uchiha Yoru, Mr. Inabi, and Mr. Itachi had defeated Muzan and the remaining Upper Ranks, then told Kagaya Ubuyashiki they had gone home, leaving the Corps to face a future without its ancient mission.

• Kagaya Ubuyashiki and the Hashira hurried toward the Swordsmith Village, worried that Uchiha Yoru and the others had chosen to face Muzan without waiting for them.
• Tamayo collapsed as Muzan's blood vanished from her body, announced that Muzan was dead, and disappeared into ashes after saying farewell to Yushiro.
• Kagaya ordered the Corps to continue to the village, where they found Tanjiro Kamado and Nezuko Kamado safe beneath the sunlight.
• Tanjiro confirmed that Mr. Yoru, Mr. Inabi, and Mr. Itachi had eliminated Muzan and the remaining Upper Rank Demons in the Infinity Castle.

• Fugaku told Yoru that Kumogakure was probing Konoha’s borders, and Yoru left the response to Nara Shikaku unless the village launched a full-scale attack.
• Yoru sent Inabi to the Pirate World to seek opponents and Devil Fruits, then summoned Yoriichi Tsugikuni at Sabaody and invited him to test his sword against the world’s strongest fighters.

• Deidara and Sasori entered Dressrosa and headed to a tavern to gather information about its ruler.
• Doflamingo spotted the pair and ordered Diamante to investigate them.

Sasori and Deidara fought Doflamingo and the Donquixote Family in Dressrosa, then escaped after Deidara devastated the town with a massive bomb. The account then caught up with Yoru’s growing involvement in the Pirate World and the Straw Hat Pirates’ journey, ending as they reached the Sabaody Archipelago.

• Itachi used a Crow Clone to evade Kizaru’s light-speed strike, then attacked him with Amaterasu and genjutsu, but Kizaru escaped both with his speed and Haki.
• Kizaru unleashed Yasakani no Magatama, and Itachi protected Sasuke with Sun’s Blessing before blocking the barrage with his Susanoo.

As the Navy prepared for war with Whitebeard, Luffy, Naruto, and Sasuke’s prison break plunged Impel Down into chaos. Uchiha Yoru and Obito used the distraction to abduct powerful Level 6 prisoners into the Kamui Dimension, just before Blackbeard arrived to recruit the inmates.

• Sengoku ordered the Shichibukai to prepare for war and sent Kizaru to secure Ace after learning Luffy, Sasuke, and Naruto had broken into Impel Down.
• Magellan poisoned Luffy and Sasuke, but Ivankov rescued them in Level 5.5; after they recovered, their return and the wider prisoner riot overwhelmed the prison.
• Magellan released Shiryu to help suppress the riots, while Kizaru transferred Ace toward Marine Headquarters, giving Yoru and Obito the chance to enter Level 6.

Meanwhile, Itachi led the disguised Akatsuki into Marineford and established a concealed base overlooking the execution plaza ahead of the coming war.

• Magellan learned that Yoru and Obito Uchiha had freed Bullet, Redfield, World, Shot, Wolf, Devon, and Pizarro from Level 6.
• Blackbeard reached Level 6, discovered the strongest prisoners were gone, recruited several remaining prisoners, and escaped with Shiryu and his crew.
• Magellan arrived at Level 6 after Blackbeard’s escape and found the high-security cells empty.
• Uchiha Rong and the disguised Akatsuki entered Marineford’s outer district, where Itachi explained that the war would begin in two days.

After Uchiha Yoru and Obito abducted powerful prisoners from Impel Down, Navy leaders debated whether the Uchiha or Blackbeard was behind the raid. Yoru explained Blackbeard’s influence to Obito and decided to starve the captives in the Kamui Dimension before killing them and using Impure World Reincarnation.

• Tsuru reported that Uchiha Yoru and Obito had bypassed Impel Down’s defenses, abducted Bullet, Redfield, and other Level Six prisoners, and escaped.
• Sengoku and the Admirals discussed the raid, suspecting Blackbeard might be its mastermind because he had arrived at Impel Down at the same time as the Uchiha.
• As Yoru and Obito traveled toward Marineford on a Sea King, Yoru told Obito that Shiryu and other notorious pirates respected Blackbeard because of his Rocks bloodline.
• Yoru told Obito to kill the prisoners in the Kamui Dimension, recover their Devil Fruits, and use Impure World Reincarnation, but first to leave them without food for two weeks or a month.
