Shen Hanyu carried Shen Liuyu through the snow-covered forest, constantly searching for Soul Beasts in the surrounding area.

Shen Hanyu had no clear concept of the Frozen Forest. He only knew that nearly every forest blanketed in ice and snow was called the Frozen Forest, as though it were a general term.

This forest had not suffered any damage. Its ecosystem was remarkably complete, and it had the greatest number and variety of Soul Beasts within a hundred li, so it was naturally favored by some low-level Soul Masters.

Snow Domain Demon Ape Group, located thirty kilometers north of the Frozen Forest. The ape king has a cultivation of three thousand years, and the group has around fifty members.

Shen Hanyu raised an eyebrow. He did have some impression of this Soul Beast.

Snow Domain Demon Apes were typical battle-loving Soul Beasts. Both their offensive and defensive power were extremely formidable, making them one of the rare balanced Soul Beasts in the Far North.

"Ayu, can you tell Older Brother your reason? As far as I know, there are other choices better than Snow Domain Demon Apes."

"For example, powerful Soul Beasts such as Ice Horned Rhinoceroses, Sky Ice Butterflies, Ice Plain Mammoths, and Ice Blood Tigers are no worse than Snow Domain Demon Apes. Some are even better."

"A crocodile's greatest advantage is that it barely has any weaknesses. Its attack, defense, and speed are all decent. Older Brother will take you to look for Ice Bear tracks. Snowflakes slowly drifted down as the icy wind howled into the distance.

Within a patch of low shrubs, one large and one small head slowly emerged. They exchanged glances, then looked together at a group of Soul Beasts near a river valley not far away.

"Ayu, look. That's a group of Ice Crocodiles. Their cultivation is roughly between three hundred and seven hundred years. They aren't particularly powerful, but they're still one of the top Soul Beast groups in the Far North."

Shen Hanyu smacked his lips as he recalled the roasted crocodile meat he had eaten during his travels. It had to be said, it really had a unique flavor.

Shen Liuyu nodded blankly and said,

"Then... Older Brother, are they our target?"

Shen Hanyu shook his head and pointed at three humanoid figures walking upright in the distance.

"They're our target. I sensed the terrifying killing intent on them from far away."

Through the endless wind and snow, three shadows could vaguely be seen walking toward them through the blizzard on the opposite bank. They were not moving slowly.

"What are they, Older Brother?"

Shen Liuyu asked curiously.
