Nature and Formation

A Dharma Form is an externalized battle body formed by compressing a cultivator’s Sea of Consciousness true essence together with the laws of heaven and earth. The resulting manifestation can fight independently outside its wielder’s body. 56

• A Dharma Aspect Realm cultivator may draw upon ambient heaven-and-earth energy to materialize a Dharma Form. Lu Yuan’s Eight-Armed Divine General arose after he used true essence to communicate with the world’s wandering energies. 49
• Forms are commonly shaped by their user’s cultivation method and laws, such as Lu Yuan’s armored divine general, Lie Fentian’s flame-wielding giant, or Sun Yu’s eight-armed devil god. 49 61 72
• A completed form can carry weapons made of true essence and laws, including swords, battle axes, war hammers, halberds, and vajra pestles. 49 61 311
• A cultivator may keep a Dharma Form dormant within the body. Before his breakthrough, Sun Yu’s form remained compressed in his spine; after reaching the Dharma Aspect Realm, it merged further with his physique. 58 62

Structure and Weaknesses

Law Barrier

Dharma Forms possess an outer true-qi or law barrier that protects their internal structure. Lu Yuan’s Divine General had a several-foot-thick purple-gold barrier, while Lie Fentian’s form contained layered flames and law formations. 54 63

• The barrier can be broken by sufficiently overwhelming physical force. Sun Yu shattered Lu Yuan’s barrier with a straight punch and later pierced Lie Fentian’s form outright. 54 63
• The interior of a form can contain lethal law energy. Lie Fentian’s Thousand-Zhang Dharma Form was filled with Purple-Black True Fire that would ordinarily reduce intruders to ash. 63

Dharma Aspect Core

A Dharma Aspect Core serves as the critical nexus of a Dharma Form and its wielder.

• Lie Fentian’s core connected his true body to his Dharma Form; when Sun Yu tore it out, the entire crimson form collapsed into scattered fire. 63 64
• Destroying or extracting a core causes direct backlash to the controller. The damage to Lu Yuan’s Eight-Armed Divine General destroyed his dantian and meridians after all eight arms were torn away. 54
• Dharma Aspect Cores retain concentrated law power and can be refined or consumed to strengthen another cultivator. Sun Yu used cores from the Wind and Thunder Martial Marquises to reach the mid-Dharma Aspect Realm. 67

External Energy Dependence

Some Dharma Forms rely on external sources for restoration or sustained power.

• The City Lord’s Golden Body Dharma Form was formed from Divine City’s origin and repaired itself through nine underground Divine Veins. 311
• Sun Yu disrupted that recovery by using his Extreme Dao Grotto-heaven to devour the Divine Veins’ origin, leaving the Golden Body unable to replenish its damaged structure. 311 312

Sun Yu’s Great Devil Aspect

Sun Yu’s perfected Dharma Form is a fusion technique derived from the Eight Desolations Aspect of the Purple Pole, Blazing Fire Aspect, Gale Aspect, and Violet Firmament Lightning Aspect. Its shape is not fixed: before full stabilization, it could shift between an armored devil god, a three-headed six-armed beast, and a storm of destruction. 67

Manifestation

• It manifests from Sun Yu’s body after law-infused true essence floods into his spine and back. 72
• At full size, it reaches ten thousand zhang, dwarfing six opposing thousand-zhang Dharma Forms. 72
• Its eight arms can defend, seize opponents, destroy formations, and crush multiple cultivators simultaneously. 72 100

Law Attributes

• Gale Law — Forms armor and defensive shielding around the devil god. 68 72
• Fire Law — Produces Purple-Black True Fire capable of igniting and destroying enemy law formations. 72
• Lightning Law — Coils around the form’s arms as destructive purple-gold lightning. 68 72
• Asura Law — Flows through the devil god’s arms and reinforces its crushing physical attacks. 100

Combat Record

• The Great Devil Aspect blocked the coordinated attacks of six middle-Dharma-Aspect experts, then assisted Sun Yu in killing all six and collecting their cores within ten breaths. 72
• Its eight arms devastated the Three Great Sacred Lands’ interception force, breaking defensive formations, crushing cultivators, and defeating over thirty Dharma Aspect Realm opponents. 100
• The form’s enormous size does not prevent precise coordination with Sun Yu’s true body; while it restrains or destroys enemy manifestations, Sun Yu can enter the battlefield to extract their cores personally. 72

Relation to the True Martial Dharma Body

After Sun Yu activated the True Martial Dharma Body, his physical body became the external manifestation of his Inner World rather than a separate illusory projection. Each portion of his flesh and blood functioned as a world barrier, and he regarded this body as stronger than a conventional Dharma Form. 150 152

• Sun Yu later declines to summon his demon-god manifestation in battle because his Grotto-Heaven-fused body is already his strongest Dharma manifestation. 152
• Other cultivators recognize the True Martial Dharma Body as a rare path in which an Inner World is forged directly into flesh and blood. 156
