Lin Che quietly pinched his thigh to keep himself from laughing out loud.
Gu Yilan had just shown an unexpectedly cute side of herself, and her embarrassed expression now made it hard for him to keep a straight face.
That irritating girl had played tricks on him so often before.
This time, Lin Che felt the urge to get his revenge!
So he decided to play dumb for the time being.

What woke Lin Che wasn’t his alarm, but a girl’s scornful voice.
Still half asleep, he opened his eyes.
Gu Yilan’s bright, pretty face greeted him.
Her long hair was tied in a high ponytail, and she was already dressed in her blue-and-white high school uniform.
With a look of disdain, she nudged him awake with her foot.
“Come on! Could you stop barging into my room whenever you feel like it?”
Lin Che’s voice was still thick with sleep. Then he checked the time, and his expression turned furious.
“Gu Yilan! What is wrong with you? It’s only six!”
Morning study at their high school didn’t begin until seven thirty. Being woken for no apparent reason at six was enough to make anyone grumpy!

Lin Che continued pretending to be hypnotized, remaining still and silent.
Gu Yilan, who was normally so overbearing and headstrong, was unusually gentle and considerate that morning.
