After half a month at sea, Lux could finally wash herself thoroughly. Although Eno could make ice, so Lux had never been short of clean water even aboard the ship, the problem was that Eno could only make ice-cold water.
For someone as strong as Lux, a cold shower wasn't an issue. But soaking in icy water was hard to tolerate.
Now, though, there was hot water available around the clock, along with fragrant Blue Mist Grass bath sachets. Lux soaked in the tub for nearly an hour. Karya had even finished giving Eno a lesson by the time she finally climbed out!
"Go take a bath!" Wrapped in a towel, Lux cheerfully came over to Eno and tugged her toward the bathroom. "You have to soak for a whole hour! We paid for it!"
That "we paid for it" was enough to make the thrifty Eno obediently fall silent. With the thought that the money had already been spent, she followed Lux's instructions and dutifully began soaking in the tub.
In truth, Eno loved being in hot water, letting its warmth spread through her whole body. But before she began studying under Karya, her bathwater always cooled too quickly, and she could never properly enjoy a hot soak.
Now, after a month of learning from Karya, she could easily control the magic within her. At last, she could enjoy a delightful hot bath, too!
