Demacians liked blue. Whether it was the imperial flag or the crests of noble houses, blue was often an important base or accent color.

Red, by contrast, was used far less in Demacia. For one thing, Demacia had no good local sources of red dye; for another, red and blue did not pair well.

Especially at an aristocratic banquet.

Every noble's attire had to match their family crest, and red was a color best avoided.

Yet today Lux wore a scarlet formal gown, with hardly any embellishments. She did not even wear the crest of the Crown Guard family, leaving many of the assembled nobles stunned.

Although Lux had now established a family of her own, this was a banquet in Silvermine City. For her to wear none of the Crown Guard family's adornments was, to some extent, contrary to the decorum expected of a Noble Exemplar, wasn't it?

Or did she have some deeper purpose? Was it deliberate?

Considering that neither Peter nor Ogesha had appeared, many nobles had already begun to speculate in secret.

Or at least trying to distance herself from them in public?
