After receiving word from the front, Lux immediately sprang into action.

Everyone understood the significance of the Fearless Vanguard. If they could take them down, the Imperial Capital Army's morale would plummet. Then, if they blocked the southern entrance to Eight Paths Slope, they might even be able to swallow the entire Rebellion Suppression Army in one battle!

An opportunity like this wouldn't come twice. After all the groundwork they'd laid, the enemy had finally shown an opening. Now was the time to seize the chance and press the attack!

By the time Lux led the main Hextech forces onto the battlefield, the Fearless Vanguard were still charging back and forth, trying to break through.

But the valley inside Eight Paths Slope was narrow, with steep slopes. Without mage support, even the formidable Fearless Vanguard couldn't maneuver properly.

The First Plains Walkers Regiment, which was blocking their advance, had made itself comfortable behind the treacherous terrain. All they had to do was hold the route south, and they could keep the enemy from getting through. Even with Ulwo leading the charge himself, they couldn't force open so much as a gap.

After surveying the battlefield, Lux was delighted to discover that the First Plains Walkers Regiment could hold the line on its own. The Mountain Walker Regiment 3 and the Fifth Plains Walkers Regiment she'd brought along didn't even need to join the fighting!

After checking the terrain, Lux simply left the Fifth Plains Walkers Regiment in reserve behind the First. Then she led the Hextech troops and Mountain Walker Regiment 3 straight up the mountain. With the enemy surrounded, casting down on them from above was the most effective way to inflict casualties!
