In the eyes of his colleagues, Malzahar was a reliable, down-to-earth sort of person.

That made it easy for Malzahar to calmly surround himself with Great Elementalists, each pursuing their own political ambitions, and watch how things unfolded while waiting for a chance to put those Rune Towers to use.
