With the Black Stone smuggling case exposed, Old Royal Uncle had reluctantly resigned, leaving the post of Forbidden Zone Inspector temporarily vacant.

Given the importance of the position, the question of who would succeed him was quickly added to Ixtal's agenda.

With the Conservative and Radical Factions attacking each other and working to expand their respective political influence, both naturally hoped this crucial position would go to someone from their own camp.

So when the Element King presided over the royal audience and began discussing who should become the next Inspector, both the Radicals, who had come prepared, and the Conservatives, who had been caught off guard, immediately put forward their own answers.

The Radical Faction's candidate was a Great Elementalist named Karburga.
