Faced with Demacia's declaration that it would stay out of the conflict, the envoys of the allied delegation initially thought it was just a pose to gain diplomatic leverage.

But when envoys from New Noxus also arrived in the Demacian Imperial Capital, the allied delegation's envoys finally began to panic.

This was ridiculous. Weren't the Demacian Daily's staff supposed to have gone to Zaun for special training? How could they openly pad out the paper like this?

Though this bland report was still better than a blood-pressure-raising headline like "Demacia and Noxus Put the Past Behind Them," the problem was that New Noxus, with its weapons at the ready, could accept Demacia calling for peace in words while remaining neutral in practice. The allied delegation couldn't!
