As he trudged through wind and snow, Sylas gained a new understanding of the "unity" the people of Freljord often spoke of.
Though tribes often fought tooth and nail over grazing land, water, and valleys, there was no denying that once the Frost Witch gave her orders, even old enemies would often suppress their desire to fight.
Even if the truce was only temporary, in Sylas's eyes, it was still better than the Demacian Nobles.
When he traveled west and reached the Rakkor Wasteland, the Warmother of the Avarosa tribe even met with him in person. Before arriving, Sylas had heard that this Warmother, a woman named Ashe, seemed to harbor some prejudice against the Frostguard Tribe. But to his utter surprise, Ashe supplied him with provisions and promised to keep his whereabouts secret.
Only then did Sylas learn that a small number of Demacians actually lived among the Avarosa tribe!
Unfortunately, when Sylas tried to ask Ashe about these Demacians, she refused to tell him anything.
"I won't betray my friends."
"???"
Sylas didn't quite understand what that had to do with betraying friends.
In the end, however, he took the supplies and left Rakkor, continuing west. All he had to do now was cross Nuskar Pass, then turn south. From there, he could travel through Frostport to Freljord, return to Demacia, and make his way home!
The thought of returning to Demacia stirred an indescribable feeling deep within Sylas. He could hardly wait to exact his revenge, even if it meant dealing Demacia a devastating blow.
Ashe disliked Sylas, just as she disliked the Frost Witch.
