Ashe knew nothing about what had happened in Demacia.

Ashe had once been curious about her southern neighbors. With a mind to study and learn, she had looked into all kinds of things about Demacia.

But now, Ashe had stopped doing that.

It wasn't because trade with Demacia was no longer important to Avarosa, nor because Ashe thought she already knew enough about Demacia. Rather, the Avarosan tribe had now migrated into the Rakkor Wasteland and become the masters of Lakstak City. She had little time or energy to think about Demacia anymore.

To her, managing Lakstak City well and extending her influence across the entire Lakstak Plains were what mattered most.

This ancient city had once been the site of the Three Sisters' first gathering, and it was also the "holy city" of all Freljord. A tribe that established itself in Lakstak City would be entitled to invite the surrounding tribes to a gathering, earning their recognition and allegiance.

This was Freljord's path to kingship.

That was the path Ashe and the Avarosan tribe wanted to take.

After the Winter's Claw tribe fell into disarray due to its invasion of the south, the Avarosan tribe seized the brief power vacuum, crossed Nuskar Pass, and tentatively entered the Lakstak Plains. They then quickly joined the struggle for Lakstak City, and, thanks to their considerable strength and abundant supplies, ultimately defeated all their rivals and took control of the city.

Up to that point, everything had gone very smoothly.

But for Ashe and Avarosa, entering Lakstak was only the first step. The real challenge was establishing a foothold there, winning the support of the surrounding tribes, and successfully holding a gathering that would turn Avarosa's rules into Freljordian tradition.
