It wasn't until Lux had entered the Lakstak Plains and seen the land with her own eyes that she truly understood why Ashe would rather give up the Western Freljord Subcontinent than head east.
Even though she had already gathered and organized a great deal of information from the intelligence team, when Lux crossed Nuskar Pass and finally reached this fertile land, she still could hardly believe her eyes.

Although the snow and ice had yet to fully melt on the Lakstak Plains in early spring, the land's abundance was already plain to see.
Beneath the snow lay black soil. Along the road, Lux even spotted quite a few seedlings that were beginning to sprout. Even though the temperature was still very low, they already showed a few faint traces of green.
"They're alfalfa," one of the Hextech companions explained quietly. "A high-altitude variety unique to Freljord. It makes excellent fodder and produces plenty of seeds in autumn. People get diarrhea if they eat them, but they're perfect for livestock."
"That's why the proportion of grain imported by the Avarosan tribe through Northern Trade has been falling," Lux said with a nod. "Compared to grain that costs a fortune, wild-growing fodder is much cheaper."
"But the Avarosans still have plenty of trouble," Lux added, narrowing her eyes as she looked toward a nearby forest. "Honestly, I've always wondered why the people of Freljord don't try farming when the Lakstak Plains are so fertile."
"Maybe they're simply not used to it," her Hextech companion said. He clearly had no reasonable explanation, so he could only make a cautious guess based on what they knew. "From what we've seen of most of the tribes we've met, the people of Freljord don't seem very accustomed to producing things."
