When Karya arrived in New Shurima City, the city was building a new library.
The books that had once been sealed away in the Great Library were being guarded by Azir's newly formed guards and transported in an endless stream to New Shurima City. There, they were being sorted and placed in the newly built library, which would gradually open to the public.
Nasus, once the Grand Scholar of Shurima, was personally overseeing the work. He knew the collection well, and with him directing the relocation, everything seemed to be proceeding in good order. It looked as though New Shurima City would soon become the cultural center of this fledgling nation.
Karya was naturally glad to see this. He even took the initiative to ask Nasus whether the new library was missing any books, offering to help fill in the gaps if he had any of them.
After chatting briefly with Nasus, Karya soon left the Great Library and headed to the unfinished Royal Palace, where he found Azir.
Unlike Nasus, who was busily overseeing the library's relocation, Azir seemed to have far more free time. New Shurima's construction was already on track, and until the new city was finished, he had little to do beyond his daily duties.
If it had been up to Azir, he would have liked to travel around other parts of Shurima and see how the ancient land was faring.
But Zilean kept a close eye on him and wouldn't let him go.
That was understandable. Shurima was now divided. Although this division hadn't sparked a full-scale war, local conflicts were breaking out everywhere. Azir didn't yet have the personnel or resources to get involved, and wandering around at a time like this could easily invite needless trouble.
Besides, Azir was no longer the womanizing
