In the blink of an eye, a whole year had passed. By now, Tibbers had been in this world for over a year.
Over the past year, its inexplicable injuries had mostly healed, and the thunderous power within it had gradually begun to recover. But for some reason, it still couldn't contact its unreliable personal system, and its troublesome little master still hadn't shown up. With no other choice, it had continued staying in Rongguo Mansion, alongside Lin Daiyu, the human girl from Earth.
It was now perfectly capable of leaving the side of that increasingly tall and spirited little girl and heading out into the world to fend for itself. But... whenever it thought about how Rongguo Mansion provided room and board, and how several Earthling females were on hand to serve it every day, its life as a bear couldn't have been more comfortable! So although it had made up its mind to leave several times, in the end it never acted on it. It simply stayed here shamelessly, even forgetting why it had left its little master in the first place.
Perhaps this was what those Earthlings meant when they said, "It's easy to go from frugality to luxury, but hard to go from luxury to frugality."
Anyway, after being fed, pampered, and given a comfortable place to sleep for over a year, Tibbers felt it would be a little shameless to sneak away without a word. It was even less inclined to go back to sleeping rough and readjusting to a life of eating raw meat and drinking blood.
And so, after more than a year, it was still lingering in Rongguo Mansion. It told itself that it was staying to supervise two Earthling girls as they cultivated immortality and to be a responsible bear master.
