After all these years...
Naboo, a beautiful, idyllic world near the outer edge of the galaxy, was home to the Naboo and the intelligent amphibious native species known as the Gungans. The young Jedi apprentice Anakin had returned there once again.
It had been ten years since Anakin had last visited Naboo. And yet the planet was still as beautiful and tranquil as he remembered... Naboo and Gungans strolled at their leisure along the streets of the capital, Theed, where trees and flowers added splashes of green and red. The city was peaceful and serene, busy but never crowded. Dawn cast a gauzy veil over the poetic city, much like the beautiful woman he kept hidden in his heart.
At least, that was how Anakin saw it. He had never expected that returning to Naboo would make him so happy.
There was just one thing that surprised him a little: some of the wording and descriptions in the urgent mission Obi-Wan had assigned him weren't quite accurate.
Because Padmé Amidala, the woman who was beginning to merge with the beautiful image in his heart, was no longer Queen of Naboo.
After completing two terms, she had finally stepped down from the highest office on Naboo of her own accord, not long ago. Another young woman, newly elected by the people of Naboo, had become the new queen. Padmé herself was now only Naboo's representative and a member of the Galactic Senate.
Still...
That was exactly why she needed to travel to Coruscant as soon as possible, to report to the Galactic Senate in the capital of the Galactic Republic. She needed a Jedi Knight to protect her the whole way—especially now that someone had openly put a bounty on the head of Padmé Amidala, the former Queen of Naboo.
