The old engine of the slightly outdated desert hover bike sputtered beside Anakin and Padmé, its rhythmic chugging seeming to have become the only theme song in this monotonous world of sand and sea.

Anakin hadn't said a word, and he hadn't dared linger for long at the site where his ship had crashed.
After swiftly stealing the hover bike beneath them from a group of foolish Sand People who'd tried to take advantage of the situation, he and Padmé had left at once. They'd been racing across the boundless golden desert at tremendous speed for around two or three hours now.
And yet...
Even after all that time, even though they'd been racing straight ahead at nearly the speed of sound, when she looked around, all she could see—apart from the biting wind—was the endless desert!
If an ordinary person dared to travel this fast on a planet with an atmosphere without any protection, the powerful air currents would injure them or knock them off! But Anakin wasn't an ordinary person. He was a Jedi Knight. Even though he was only a Padawan, he could use the Force, which was stronger in him than in most Jedi, to break through and deflect the air currents buffeting him and Padmé, making things a little more comfortable for them.
"Hmm..."
"Anakin, aren't we going too fast?"
Yes. As far as Padmé was concerned, the two of them were going much too fast. They might as well have been flying—and flying too close to the ground at that. She was afraid Anakin might not react in time and crash straight into a dune!
If that happened, after surviving the danger of the crash landing, they might end up dying in a ridiculous traffic accident instead. Of course, she wouldn't blurt that
