Mary Geoise, the Holy Land, stood at the very peak of the Red Line, between the first and second halves of the Grand Line. It was also one of only two routes from the first half of the Grand Line to the New World.
It was where the world's highest authorities, the Five Elders, and the World Government had their offices. Its main residents were the World Nobles, the Celestial Dragons. Of course, plenty of troops were stationed there too, along with the "commoners" who served the Celestial Dragons and numerous slaves.
It was said that the kings of the World Government's member nations came here once every four years to hold the Reverie, discussing major measures concerning world security and drafting relevant laws and regulations.
But the next Reverie was still a long way off. It wasn't time for the World Conference yet. Even so, Kizaru—the future Fleet Admiral—had been summoned here by the Five Elders. As for the reason, he didn't know yet.

Watching the attendants open the doors, Kizaru saw the five decrepit old men waiting for him inside. He glanced around, then gave an unimpressed click of his tongue before strolling in with his hands in his pockets.
If he had a choice, he really didn't want to come here and deal with those old men. But he was the future Fleet Admiral, so what could he do?

One of the Five Elders spoke. He was a decrepit old man with a bald head, a drooping mustache, and a birthmark on his forehead. He gestured toward an empty sofa, inviting Kizaru to sit down and talk.
