Nothing unexpected!
Early the next morning, at the headquarters of the Contamination Control Bureau in Beijing, a group of senior Bureau officials and several high-ranking military generals began a heated debate in a conference room about Z City being engulfed in flames. The discussion even turned into an argument.
Both the Bureau and the military had received reports the previous night—oral reports, written reports, videos, and more. Both sides had received them, and they were extremely detailed firsthand accounts.
However, neither side had any idea who was responsible or what had happened in the abandoned city's ghost domain, which had been there for over a year. They were completely baffled.
Although the military had dispatched drones overnight to cross the dangerous "Sealed" zone and reach the skies above the heavily contaminated area of the city, they had found nothing except ashes, lava, and the remains of a few buildings that had not collapsed.
All they knew was that the entire city seemed to have suddenly turned into a sea of fire. Almost the whole urban area had been burned flat, all the strange entities had vanished, and even the "Evil God" entity they had once considered invincible, indestructible, and impossible to drive away had disappeared completely.
In any case, so far, they had detected no strange entities or strange energy anywhere in the area!
As for anything more specific, they had no idea.
The site was still a sea of fire, and the lava had not yet fully solidified. The ground temperature was several hundred degrees, so there was little they could do beyond sending drones to film, scan, and monitor the area from above.
After a round of bickering and pointless discussion, the conference room soon fell silent. The atmosphere grew awkward, and the air seemed to have frozen.
