If there was anything in this world more despair-inducing than facing a powerful, terrifying Greater Demon, it was undoubtedly this:
A Greater Demon that was swelling, burning, and warping the surrounding air with heat—a creature that had been merely six or seven meters tall when it squeezed out of the mine entrance, but whose muscles expanded, bones lengthened, and body grew larger and more terrifying with every step and every breath!
At first, the greenskin players who had escaped had all assumed that six or seven meters was its limit, that it could not possibly grow any taller.
But they were wrong—spectacularly wrong!
Because six or seven meters was merely the size it had deliberately restrained itself to in order to adapt to the mine tunnels. Otherwise, if it became too large, it would get stuck inside the mine, unable to move freely. At that point, it would be nothing but meat on the players' chopping block.
But clearly, demons were not stupid, and Greater Demons were even less so!
So, when it first emerged, it had deliberately suppressed both its power and the size it manifested in the powerless physical universe, all to avoid impairing its movement and combat capabilities within the mine tunnels.
And now that it had reached the surface, there was naturally no need to restrain itself any longer. Thus, it deliberately unleashed its power, revealing its truest form in the physical universe for the first time!
