Earth Dragon Fort!
A prosperous, grand city in the northern reaches of the Southern Border.
A hub where roads from all four directions converged, it stood tall and unshaken through wind and rain. Merchants gathered here, trade flourished, and the population was dense.
Xiang Yuan had previously been beaten to his knees by Chan'er and kidnapped to Earth Dragon Fort. Xiang Yuan had only wandered around the outskirts and had never entered the city itself.
Upon arriving, he was astonished by the unbroken streams of people and bustling streets. It was no less prosperous than the great cities of Western Chu.
Other than the fact that everyone looked vicious, with faces that practically said, "What are you looking at?" and figures so broad-chested that they screamed "Don't mess with me," everything else was fine.
Especially that long street just now. Red towers lined both sides, gauze curtains swayed gently, and the sweet songs and laughter of women drifted through the air. The scents of rouge mingled with wine and flowers, while melodious zithers and softly plucked pipas played, accompanied by some low murmurs and quiet singing of uncertain meaning.
Being sharp of ear and eye had its good and bad points. Xiang Yuan had stumbled into that street and felt as if even the ground were shaking. It was already like this in broad daylight—what would it be like at night?!
Once again, he lamented that though they were both beasts of burden, his Palu still had not suffered enough.
New to the place, Xiang Yuan did not dare speak or ask questions. Xiang Yuan chose to respect the local customs, though this time he would not do as the locals did. After crossing the long street, he found the rendezvous point: A Teahouse.
Its name was simply A Teahouse.
