The airport blazed with lights, people rushing in and out, flowing through it.
At the arrivals area, a tall woman dressed casually, wearing a black wool coat, strode through the vast airport toward the exit with a suitcase in hand. Her long hair fluttered with her steps and streamed behind her in the wind blowing through the corridor.
Once outside, she headed straight for the smiling man waiting for her. They embraced and shared a light kiss, their longing plain to see. After that intimate reunion, the two made their way toward the parking lot.
Wang Yan pushed her suitcase and asked, "Why did you come back so early?"
"There was nothing much to do at home. What happened back then already happened. I haven't gone home or kept in touch much these past few years. There's a thorn in everyone's heart." Lucy sighed. "And because of me, they decided to have another child. My mom's more than fifty, six months pregnant with a huge belly already. She'll be giving birth in three months. Honestly..."

"Both. If I'd gone back a year earlier and tried to ease things between us, maybe they wouldn't have gotten this idea. And my mom is over fifty. She's an elderly mother—it's too dangerous. Can she even safely give birth? And if she does, can they raise the child? What they're doing is so irresponsible. They haven't thought anything through. They just decided to have a baby on a whim..."
