Yu Hao entered the dorm, introduced himself to Jiang Yunming, then came over to fiddle with Wang Yan's camera and lenses.
"Wang Yan, don't tell me you've got all these telephoto lenses and fancy gear but not a single decent photo to show for it. I'll definitely laugh at you for all four years. No—even after graduation, it won't matter."
"Search my name on Weibo and you'll see."
So Yu Hao and Jiang Yunming both took out their phones and opened Weibo to search.
"No, there are so many Wang Yans. Which one is you?" Jiang Yunming said. "Why don't you just tell us your ID?"
"Yeah, yeah. There's even one here called 'My Neighbor Is Mr. Wang.'"
"That's the one."

Jiang Yunming looked even more disgusted. "Isn't yours worse?"

"Don't sweat the details. Let's see what presentable photos Old Wang next door has."
Yu Hao scrolled through them for a while. "Your skills are actually pretty good. I underestimated you. I've noticed you seem to shoot more documentary stuff."
"There's light and shadow, humanity, and stories."
"No, if you can already shoot like this, why are you paying to come study here? Just figure out how to market yourself as a genius photographer, stir up attention everywhere, and in a few years you'll be famous and successful. Look at these black-and-white shots of yours—they don't seem much worse than He Fan's."
