They returned to the basement laughing and chatting. The moment they opened the room door, they saw three men lifting Xu Shengli's bed frame, seemingly about to flip it over.
"What's going on? Looking for something? I'll help you look."
Xu Shengli froze for a moment, then quickly stepped forward and helped lift his own bed.
The three men in the room looked at Xu Shengli, then at Wang Yan, who had already sat down on the lower bunk beside them, and let go.
Xu Shengli secretly breathed a sigh of relief and lowered the bed back down.
Another man with a ponytail sat down beside Wang Yan, putting on a vicious expression. "Is this your spot? You just sit wherever you want? Did anyone say you could sit here?"
Wang Yan looked at him, then suddenly reached out and grabbed him by the throat, slamming him straight onto the bed. The man struggled desperately, but Wang Yan's hand was like steel rebar—no matter what he did, he could not break free.
The other two men, along with Xu Shengli, hurried over and tried to pull Wang Yan away.
Yet even with all three of them working together, they could not move him.
Only when the man being choked stopped struggling did Wang Yan finally release him.
"Oh, come on, what's all this for? Can't you talk things out properly? Why'd you have to start fighting?" The speaker was an honest-looking middle-aged man. Seeing Wang Yan let go, he hurriedly pulled the man up and out of range.
"He bullied me, so I bullied him. Fair and square." Wang Yan smiled, though it sounded more like mockery.
"That's his bed. You sat in his spot—he can't even say anything about it?" This was the man with loose, permed long hair.
