A Bao's business was doing well, so Night Tokyo's business naturally wasn't bad either. Around dinnertime, people came here looking for A Bao—either to discuss business with him or to get rich alongside him.
In truth, Night Tokyo's business was decent even under normal circumstances. It wasn't actually losing money. Even though Lingzi had a bad attitude, poor service, and high prices, Little Monk's cooking had improved. He had barely been at Level Three before, but after more than two years, he had reached the peak of Level Three. A few of his signature dishes could occasionally even break through to Level Four.
That level was already quite impressive. He would rank near the front even in a major restaurant. Over time, business naturally improved quite a bit.
Lingzi sat at the counter, happily counting cash, recording accounts, and doing the daily tally. Perhaps her neck was sore from counting money, so she raised her head and stretched. The moment she looked up, she saw a black sedan pull up outside the window.
Then a man with slicked-back hair got out of the car, dressed in shorts, a short-sleeved shirt, and sneakers. He tucked a bag under his arm and held a Big Brother in one hand, while using his free hand to lock the car door with a key before walking into the restaurant.
Lingzi smiled, set the money aside, and got to her feet to greet him. "It's been a long time again, Boss Wang."
"Hey, we saw each other just this past New Year."
"Oh, please. It's already been four months since New Year's. Looking at how you're dressed now, are you finally done this time?"
"I'm done. I'll have plenty more time from now on." Wang Yan sat down at an empty table by the window.
