And strictly speaking, in terms of "legitimacy," Mordred was Artoria's child. In other words, Mordred did have a claim to the throne.
Artoria had made Mordred her proxy king, which, from a certain point of view, could also be seen as an acknowledgment that Mordred was her successor.
Besides, everyone knew that Mordred was arguably the most "loyal" to Artoria, so most of them even believed that the only reason Mordred had betrayed her was Morgan.
Of course, even so, there was no doubt that quite a few of the Round Table Knights couldn't stand Mordred.
Though, for the most part, the reason they couldn't stand her was... that she was too much like their king.
Anyway, Lancelot and Tristan were in the wrong, but Mordred wasn't.
And since both Li Shuwen and Mordred were connected to Gawain,
Gawain had no intention of interfering with those two. Instead, he chose to attack Arash.
There was no sunlight or even a large area of illumination at the moment, so Gawain couldn't bring his combat ability fully to bear.
Even so, Gawain was still one of the strongest members of the Round Table Knights under normal conditions.
That was why, even against Arash's rain of arrows, he kept advancing toward him, swinging his longsword in a seemingly impenetrable flurry.
Meanwhile, Mordred and Li Shuwen were still fighting.
But on closer inspection, it was clear that Mordred was no longer fighting with the same ferocity as before.
Mana Burst had drained much of the magical energy within Mordred, and Kiritsugu Emiya didn't have much left either.
Under the circumstances, unless Kiritsugu Emiya spent one Command Seal to replenish Mordred's magical energy, she had no way to keep fighting at full strength.
"Use your Noble Phantasm." Kiritsugu Emiya still couldn't find Li Shuwen's Master.
