For the setting of Zu Yuan Star, I drew partly on the Fallout games. Technology here has actually regressed compared to the prewar era. Only certain fields have advanced, and even those developments can't be widely implemented because of limited production capacity. This lets individual strength play a bigger role. Otherwise, when a fight broke out, a major faction could just send in planes to bomb the place or launch missiles, and there'd be no way to deal with that.
As for updates, the book goes premium tomorrow. I'm planning to release three chapters, around 10,000 words in total. I should post one chapter around noon, then put up the other two in the evening.
I write very slowly, but I'll do my best.
