There were countless investment consortiums among the stars, and the most famous of them was the Eternal Investment Fund, based in Titan Industries.
The Eternal Investment Fund had made its fortune developing the Cosmic Web through a wholly owned subsidiary. After amassing vast sums of money, it had eagerly entered the investment business. From profitable industries to emerging sectors to promising superhumans, the Eternal Investment Fund invested in everything.
Take the Titan Legion, for example. The Eternal Investment Fund owned a twenty percent stake in the largest Titan-class warship shipyard serving the Titan Legion, and three of the Legion's nine Transcendent-level superhumans had received long-term investments from the fund as they grew.
Through its investments, the Eternal Investment Fund had woven a web of connections spanning most of the explored universe. It wasn't a universe-level force in the traditional sense, but even the three great universe-level forces had to give it a seat at the table.
The investment consortium that had approached Bai Fu this time was called Origin. Though its wealth and power were nowhere near those of a behemoth like the Eternal Investment Fund, it was still a force to be reckoned with in the Edge World.
Before meeting with them, Bai Fu had thoroughly investigated Origin Consortium.
Founded several hundred years ago, the consortium was now managed by Andras, who himself possessed high Disaster-level strength. His proudest investment had been backing the Fire Rain Mercenary Group when it was an obscure little outfit, helping it grow into the second-largest mercenary group in the entire Edge World.
"The head of the consortium is a Disaster-level superhuman, and he maintains close ties with several Dominators. He's also invested in three Transcendent-level forces: the Star Covenant, the Arcane Library, and the Myriad Souls Conclave. That makes Origin a mid-tier force
