Deep within the Ability Garden.
Inside a colossal banquet hall.
A place that should have been empty was now brightly lit. Several strangely shaped figures sat around a round table, chatting.
"Our leader is far too hesitant. If he'd listened to me and gone after Bai Fu as soon as she reached an agreement with the Rebirth Empire, how could things have spiraled this far out of control?"
The speaker was a space orc with a broad patch of spikes growing from his back and short, thick limbs.
The alien beside him, as black as Conan's little black silhouette, sneered. "It has nothing to do with being hesitant. I think he still has feelings for the Rebirth Empire and couldn't bring himself to act. And look where that got us—we've landed ourselves in a huge mess. We shouldn't have revealed ourselves yet. The Child of Prophecy hasn't evolved into a complete form, and the war between the Three Universal Civilizations and the Apostle Holy City has only just begun."
There was not the slightest respect for their leader in his voice. He was even unwilling to call the man "leader."
Yet despite his appalling attitude, no one else around the table showed any displeasure. On the contrary, they nodded in agreement.
"If he manages to kill Bai Fu this time, fine. But if he doesn't, then he'll hardly be fit to stay in the position of leader."
The space orc shook his head. "Even if he does kill Bai Fu, he still shouldn't remain our leader. What right does someone who's still clinging to old ties have to lead us? If he starts feeling nostalgic again at a crucial moment, it won't just be us who die."
The little black figure chimed in, "Exactly. Killing Bai Fu won't prove anything.
