Etheron was stunned.
Rufus and Bai Fu had appeared on Holy Land Star at the same time. Rufus had tried to take the Four Apostle away, while Bai Fu had covered for him.
What the hell was this turn of events?
Hadn't Rufus attacked Bai Fu not long ago and beaten her into Silly Fu? Why were they suddenly working together now?
Never mind. There was no point dwelling on it.
Etheron had seen his share of storms, and he was now undertaking a monumental task. He'd prepared himself thoroughly, so no matter how strange or bizarre things got, he wouldn't lose his composure.
So what if Bai Fu and Rufus had temporarily joined forces? What did it matter?
It wouldn't affect the bigger picture one bit!
Bai Fu couldn't beat him, and Rufus couldn't beat him either. Did those two defeated opponents really think that together they could stop him?

Before today, perhaps they'd had a sliver of a chance. But now he'd successfully absorbed the life force and power of a large number of Apostle Holy City's followers. There was no way something like that could happen.
"That enormous godlike body was summoned by you too, wasn't it? Interesting. I've never seen an ability like that before. It seems you've reached a new understanding."
Etheron smiled at Bai Fu, then suddenly shouted into the void.
"Rufus, I'll give you a five-minute head start. Once those five minutes are up, I'll show you what it means to be everywhere!"
"Five minutes?" Bai Fu curled her lip. "You really think you can take me down in five minutes?"
Etheron shook his head. "Five minutes is the time I'm giving Rufus. As for taking you down, honestly, I won't need five minutes."
