"You're cheating!"
"Explain how you're cheating..."
The fourth round of the game had come to an end.
You Ai suppressed its fury, clutching the cards tightly in its palm. The patterns on them were scorched by its energy body as it grew hotter.
Again.
Before the game had even officially begun, its opponent had already figured out which part of the rules it had altered, winning by demanding an "explanation of how it was cheating."
You Ai's composure shattered completely.
It stood up and glared at Life Throat, fury roiling in its crystalline, brilliant eyes.
It refused to believe that its opponent could see through the rules of the "game space."
The rules formed a system of their own. It wouldn't be easy for anyone to figure them out—not just an ordinary mortal like its opponent, but even those who called themselves gods. Its opponent must have been using some ability similar to "mind reading."
The instant You Ai had formed an idea, its opponent had seen through its intentions. It hadn't found the answer by observing the rules in operation after You Ai entered its idea into the game space.
Even so, its opponent's behavior still enraged it.
In all its existence, it had never encountered such a difficult opponent.
You Ai's icy voice sounded in Life Throat's mind through mental communication.
"What underhanded trick did you use?"
In response, Life Throat leaned lazily against the back of its chair and calmly watched You Ai fume. A hint of mockery appeared in its silver eyes. "Underhanded? You've got a lot of nerve. So cheating's justified now, is it? Hurry up and start the next round."
Hearing that, You Ai sat back down, still seething.
The game had already begun, and there was nothing it could do to its opponent
