Black Domain Continent, Ashen Soil Canyon.
The Dragonwing Clan's territory, Dragon Court, stood atop the most perilous peak.
After numerous cross-world expeditions, the Dragonwing Clan had weathered many ups and downs here. They had once risen to become the overlords of a small region, but they had also been surrounded and hunted by foreign races, forced to retreat to their Small World at the cost of near-total annihilation.
Every inch of rock in this land had been steeped in the Dragonwing Clan's blood and fire.
Dark gold patterns ran across the canyon walls, layered like dragon scales.
Though Dragon Court had been rebuilt several times, it still bore traces of the fierce battles against the Bone-Burial Clan. Cracks in the pillars of its halls still held ice crystals formed during the battle against the Storm Clan... Every mark was a medal, recording the clan's unyielding resilience, forged through one cross-world expedition after another. In this new era, another expedition began.
Dragon Court, once reduced to ruins, had been rebuilt by this generation of Dragonwing Clan members.
A new crimson banner rose in the center of the city. Its gilded dragon crest snapped in the gale, the dragon's head held high as if it were letting out a War Cry to the world, announcing the clan's return.
Every member of the Dragonwing Clan understood: this new expedition wasn't about recreating the glories of the past. It was about carving out a broader future for their clan amid the tide of billions of competing races.
Each generation lifted up the next. What mattered wasn't standing at the summit, but the climb itself.
As the clan motto said: The dragonflame never dies; it burns only toward the heavens.
New facilities were springing up throughout the clan's territory.
