Twenty enormous cargo ships raced along the Seine River. These vessels, considered behemoths on inland waterways, had all been fitted with magic-energy furnaces and raised their sails as well. Their speed was astonishing, and two white waves as tall as walls surged up behind their sterns.

The giant waves rolled and crashed, rocking the other vessels on the river until they swayed wildly. Quite a few small boats nearly capsized.

Some people waved their fists furiously, roaring threats at the cargo ships, but the ships continued to charge ahead recklessly. No one paid any attention to the enraged boat owners.

With wind and current in their favor, and every magic-energy furnace activated, the twenty cargo ships moved as fast as galloping horses. In a single night, they left the Seine River channel and officially entered the waters of the North Sea. The ships did not dock at New Dunkirk, instead sailing straight for the open sea toward an unnamed island.

Taking inland cargo ships into the open sea was, in the eyes of any expert, something only a madman would do.

Yet Lin Qi, standing at the bow of the first cargo ship, did exactly that. His arms folded across his chest, he watched the sea ahead with cold eyes and barked in a low voice, "Don't care whether these ships live or die. Full speed ahead! Pass down the order: all wind-element mages are to whip up a gale. As long as the ships don't overturn, make them go faster!"
