Let's do two chapters first. I posted seven yesterday, and I'm a bit strapped for material at the moment.

Enzo's head sank slightly, and two streams of blood ran from his nostrils. The magic scroll burst apart, and the ground before him writhed strangely. Amid a low howl, a towering clay golem drilled its way up from underground.

The clay golem stood over five meters tall, its entire body glimmering with a faint brown radiance. Casually wrenching up a massive boulder three meters across from beside it, it hurled the rock with all its strength at the Rampaging Headhunters, who had fallen into disarray. The boulder howled through the air and crashed heavily into their ranks, smashing seven or eight of them to pieces on the spot. As it rolled onward, it sent more than a dozen Rampaging Headhunters sprawling in every direction, their cries unending.

Enzo wiped away his nosebleed and slowly raised the Stabbing Sword.

Though it was a magic scroll, activating one still required absorbing a certain amount of mental power and using one's own mind to control the formation of the spell. Otherwise, the only result of blindly setting off a scroll would be magic erupting in a wild slaughter, friend and foe alike.

Enzo had already used several magic scrolls in succession today. He was a pure warrior, not a mage blessed with exceptionally powerful mental strength, so the mental power he expended recovered slowly. After using so many scrolls, Enzo's mind now felt utterly hollow. Crushed beyond measure, he was even spraying blood from his nose.

But the clay golem had already taken shape. Letting out a deep roar, it charged
