At the southwestern border of the Gallic Empire, on a peninsula almost touching the border of the Harlan Empire, a peninsula nearly a thousand miles long thrust into the sea like a dagger. Dense forests blanketed the lush, lovely peninsula. This was one of the Silver Iris Family's strongholds within the Gallic Empire—the Green Bay Peninsula.
The entire peninsula was the Silver Iris Family's ancestral territory. A ten-thousand-strong army of the Silver Iris Family was even stationed along its border. Within the peninsula, large numbers of magic beasts were raised. Should outsiders accidentally trespass here, they could very well lose their lives to the countless magical traps and the jaws of magic beasts.
At the very tip of the peninsula, upon a stretch of silvery cliffs, an exquisitely intricate palace clung to the cliff face like a divine miracle. Below lay an abyss more than two thousand meters deep; above, roaring sea winds and white clouds. Before the palace stretched an endless expanse of azure sea.
Ais Te sat primly in the palace's outer corridor, both hands holding a thick ancient tome bound in magic beast hide. Frowning, she skimmed through its records at a glance of ten lines. She flipped through the pages swiftly, soon reading the ancient book carefully from beginning to end.
With a crisp snort, Ais Te tossed the ancient tome away. A little demon with wings on its back, a single horn on its head, and a pet dog collar around its neck darted out from nearby, caught the book in one grab, and raced into the palace. It quickly brought out the next ancient tome and respectfully placed it in Ais Te's hands.
