In his sea of qi, on the plaza before the main gates of the Hall of the Doomsday Apocalypse, the Osmanthus Tree smugly extended dozens of roots and wrapped them around the Myriad Poison Orb in one grasp. The Myriad Poison Orb, gleaming with strange light, seemed to sense something. It struggled frantically, bursting with dazzling radiance and releasing terrifying poisonous fumes as it tried to escape the Osmanthus Tree's hunt.
But several roots of the Osmanthus Tree had already latched onto the Myriad Poison Orb. No matter how it struggled, the Osmanthus Tree merely laughed smugly. The strange light released by the Myriad Poison Orb contained dreadful lethal poison. Several roots of the Osmanthus Tree gradually dimmed, corroded and snapped by the poison, but still more roots grew out. For every root the Myriad Poison Orb corroded, another two or three coiled around it.
Just as the Myriad Poison Orb struggled with all its might, the gates of the Hall of the Doomsday Apocalypse silently opened. A four-colored ray of strange light, containing an eerie evil force, abruptly enveloped the Myriad Poison Orb. The orb shuddered violently, then suddenly let out a mournful cry that churned Lin Qi's sea of qi into crashing waves. The water-elemental seal that had yet to fully take shape was nearly shattered on the spot.
With several cracks, the roots of the Osmanthus Tree tore apart the Myriad Poison Orb's outer shell and plunged deep into its core.
Vast waves of energy were swallowed by the Osmanthus Tree. Two of its roots stretched into the gates of the Hall of the Doomsday Apocalypse,
