The two brothers transformed into storms and merely spiraled around the mountain once; the searing heat melted the peak, turning it into a ball of lava several thousand meters across. Then they soared into the sky, dragging that immeasurably heavy sphere of molten rock thousands of meters upward.

A streak of icy silver-blue light flashed through Ais Te's eyes. Her hands swept through the air, and a howling storm of extreme cold roared forth, striking the blazing ball of magma with perfect accuracy. Hissing filled the air as the lava sphere, thousands of meters in diameter, rapidly solidified into an ice-blue globe that came screaming down from the heavens.

The gales formed from Day and Night's bodies drove the ice sphere from behind, making its descent several times faster than an ordinary meteor!

They controlled that immensely powerful ice sphere and smashed it viciously into one of the eighteen griffin-shaped peaks outside the valley. The massive magic array within the valley flashed violently. Explosions rang out in rapid succession, and who knew how many magical nodes beneath the valley were destroyed by the terrible backlash of the impact.

A brilliant flash burst from that griffin peak, and thirty-three layers of magical barriers shattered with a deafening crash. Countless aurora-like halos of magical light scattered in all directions. The enormous ice sphere exploded thunderously, and the magic array within the valley, before it could fully activate, was smashed to fragments.
